Payment Details
We offer professional rates for exceptional fantasy fiction:
Payment via PayPal, bank transfer, or agreed method within 60 days of publication. Plus, all selected authors receive one complimentary print copy.
Story Requirements
- Word Count: 500 – 7,000 words (firm limits)
- Genre: All fantasy subgenres welcome: epic, dark, urban, fairy tales, mythic, sword & sorcery
- Originality: Unpublished original works only (no reprints)
- Format: .doc, .docx, or .rtf format, double-spaced, 12pt standard font
- Language: English only, high-quality prose expected
Theme Inspiration: While all fantasy stories are welcome, we’re particularly enchanted by tales of “Forgotten Magic,” “Hidden Realms,” “Ancient Pacts,” and “Unlikely Heroes.” Let your imagination weave new realms!
Submission Period
Submissions are open from January 13, 2026 to February 28, 2026.
Final deadline: February 28, 2026, 11:59 PM GMT
Response Time
We aim to respond within 24hrs. If you haven’t heard from us after 7 days, please query.
Important: Simultaneous submissions are allowed, but please notify us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere. Multiple submissions are not permitted (one story per author per genre).
Terms & Conditions
Copyright Protection
Authors retain full copyright to their work. By submitting, you grant us first worldwide anthology rights in English for print and digital formats, and non-exclusive archival rights to keep the anthology in print.
All other rights remain with the author. You may republish your story 6 months after the anthology’s publication date.
Author Rights & Grant of License
By submitting your story, you grant us:
- First Anthology Rights: The right to publish your story for the first time in our anthology
- Non-exclusive Archival Rights: The right to keep the anthology in print (print and digital formats)
- Promotional Rights: The right to use excerpts (up to 10% of the story) for promotional purposes
You retain: All other rights, including film/TV rights, audio rights, translation rights, and the right to republish the story in other collections or on your personal website after the exclusivity period (6 months post-publication).
Payment Terms
- Payment calculated on final edited word count
- Payment processed within 60 days of publication
- One complimentary print copy for selected authors
- Additional copies available at author discount (10% off retail dependent on contractual terms)
Author Representations
By submitting, you represent and warrant that:
- You are the sole author and copyright holder of the work
- The work is original and has not been previously published
- The work does not infringe upon any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary right
- The work does not contain libelous or unlawful content
Editing & Attribution
We reserve the right to perform minor copyediting for grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Substantive edits will be discussed with the author. Authors will be credited by their preferred name in the anthology and in all promotional materials.
Indemnification
Authors agree to indemnify and hold harmless the anthology editors and publishers from any claims, losses, or damages arising from breach of the above representations.
Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of England, Scotland and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in England.
